The Export Preferences dialog box is the same as the Export Settings dialog box (see Chapter 10). Both settings are in the Save As dialog box. You can either edit a non-Photoshop file or save it as a PSD (Photoshop document). The default file name for a new document is the current date and time at the location you saved the file, but you can change it to anything you like by using the Preferences dialog box. You don’t have to create a new file with each editing session you can create a separate file for every piece of work you produce. This newest version of the file you open is called _Untitled.psd_. When you open a document in Photoshop, the program automatically creates a new file for you.
